  11. The 1.0 to 1.01 upgrade is a maintenance upgrade. Some of the
  12. problems that have been addressed in the new version are:
  13.  
  14. - Type 1 fonts are now saved in a format that is compatible with
  15.   the Post PostScript interpreter.
  16.  
  17. - DR2D imports can now be individually positioned and scaled with
  18.   a picture frame pointer (like `paste').
  19.  
  20. - Some problems with ARexx commands have been resolved.
  21.  
  22. - TypeSmith DMF fonts no longer have `fill leaks' when used
  23.   in PageStream 2.
  24.  
  25. - The AutoMetric requester has been slightly re-designed.
  26.  
  27. - Intellifont files are now scaled to match AGFA's recommended size.
  28.  
  29. - New project tool type for Soft-Logik fonts: FIXEDPITCH=yes|no
  30.   Necessary since DMF does not support a fixedpitch flag.

  32. - `Delete' in overview panel now deletes compositions as well.

  34. - Miscellaneous minor bug fixes.

  37. How to install:
  38. --------------

  40. 1. Uncompress the TS101.run archive in RAM: or on your harddrive.
  41.  
  42.    It is recommended that you move the update files (lpatch,
  43.    Install_TS_Update, Install_TS_Update.info, TypeSmith_1.01.pch)
  44.    to RAM: or a harddrive before double-clicking on Install_TS_Update.

  46. 2. Put your original TypeSmith 1.0 program disk in df0:.
  47.  
  48.    To install the update you need a working-copy of your *unchanged*
  49.    TypeSmith 1.0 original disk. The patch cannot be applied to
  50.    personalized, powerpacked or otherwise changed copies of TypeSmith.
  51.    ENSURE you write-protect this disk to avoid damaging it.
  52.  
  53.    This disk *must* be placed in the df0: drive.
  54.  
  55.    FLOPPY DISK USERS: You must place your original write-protected
  56.    TypeSmith disk in df0:, and your working-copy of the disk in another
  57.    floppy drive. DO NOT try to patch the file on your working floppy,
  58.    you will not have a enough disk space to complete the patch. Copy the
  59.    Unchanged TypeSmith 1.0 program file to RAM: first. Then apply the
  60.    patch to the one in RAM:. When the patch is finished, copy the NEW
  61.    TypeSmith to your working disk.

  64. 3. Double click on the Install_TS_Update icon and follow the instructions.

  66. The installer will patch your TypeSmith 1.0 program to version 1.01.

  69. What the patch installer does:
  70. -----------------------------

  72. The installer script loads the Installer program from the disk in
  73. df0:. It asks you to select the directory in which your working
  74. copy of TypeSmith 1.0 is stored. (This is where TypeSmith 1.01 will
  75. be saved upon completion.) Then it runs the patch program to
  76. convert the TypeSmith 1.0 program in df0: to create TypeSmith 1.01
  77. in RAM:. Finally, TypeSmith 1.01 is copied to your working
  78. directory.
